Senior Fellow (Nonresident)
Grant Martsolf is currently a Professor at the University of Pittsburgh and a Health Policy Researcher at the RAND Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Martsolf received his PhD in Health Policy and Administration from the Pennsylvania State University where he studied under Dr. Dennis Scanlon. He also received a master’s degree in Public Health from Tulane University and bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Nursing from from the Wharton School of Business and the School of Nursing respectively, both at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Martsolf has diverse research interests but has focused most specifically on issues related to primary care innovations and quality of care. He has investigated related issues such as care coordination, patient centered medical homes, quality measurement, consumer engagement, payment reform, and public reporting.
