Jesse Smith is a senior fellow at the Institute for Family Studies and an assistant professor with the Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society at The Ohio State University. He received his PhD in Sociology and Demography from the Pennsylvania State University. He conducts research on the intersection of religion and family, with a particular interest in religious transmission between generations. In addition to academic publications, his work has appeared in such outlets as National Review, Quillette, and The Public Discourse.
